So I am completely an utterly freaking out. I don't know what to do. I NEED a teaching job. Like real bad. I have until the 30th and then things start going screwy with my aid, and all that stuff. I do not want to leave my current job, until I am certain of a teaching job. Here comes the good part.
The president of my current company told my Boss that they should get rid of me. um.. okay. Fine, I can understand not wanting someone who is actively looking for another job, and put in their two weeks, four weeks ago, to continue working. But then my boss fought to keep me here, just in case. Not just in case I dont' get a teaching job, but just in case they need me, since he is quitting. While it is nice that he is willing to argue on my behalf to keep me, if this is going to cause bad blood between us, and the boss boss starts showing me her bad side, then I dont' want to be here. But I am way too nervous about the fact that I need a job in 19 days, or my world is going topsy turvy.
yikes. I'm just applying, applying, applying, and hoping someone gives me a chance. I haven't given up on a teaching job, but I am extremely nervous, that things are not going to line up for me the way I want. I don't want to have NO job. HELP!!
Baby, Engagement, Masters Degree, and Wedding. All in one Year! Thoughts from my life as I go through it.

Discouraged
I try to be positive, I really do. But going on interviews and noone even calling back to say, no we dont' want you, gets me down in the dumps. I really need to get into a special education teaching job. Like this month. The school I go to will make me stop going, or "switch" tracks if I do not get a job by september 30th. That is in 27 days. It makes me extremely nervous, and scared.
I will be a great teacher. I just need someone to take a chance on me. I will do anything. I am a quick learner, and always give 110% . Now someone just has to give me that chance.

Job Search.
I really wish I had connections in education. My job search is not going so well. I call and call schools, and noone is hiring. A few schools that aren't hiring, told me that I could just send my resume, just in case. So I have. I've applied to suburban schools, charter schools, day schools. Nothing. Not one nibble. My school sent my resume to a CPS school, and I actually got an interview, but sadly not the job.
I am getting really worried that I will not be working in the field this year. But I will keep trying every day, and keep my fingers crossed.

Fire Pit!
So we finally broke down (well I finally talked the boy into letting me spend my money to buy) and bought a fire pit. We used it for the first time on Saturday night. It was sooo much fun. We had three of his sisters over, and we made smoores. Definitely worth the money. I can't wait to use it again.

PASSED
I passed my test. I passed my test. I passed my test.
I am now a highly qualified teacher, and certified to teach special education k-12! I am super excited.
Now I just need someone to hire me.

Almost done waiting
Well. I've told my boss. He was okay with it, then he called back to say he wasn't. But I will not be at work starting monday for a week. I actually feel a lot guilty, but I know it is for the best. I need to get the experience in, and I need to be out looking for jobs. Keep your fingers crossed for my scores, I get them tommorrow at 5.

Anxious
Well obviously I'm still anxious for my test results. But now I'm anxious for another reason. I just asked my boss today(well if leaving him a voice mail, cause he didn't answer, and then faxing him the request as well, counts) if I can have next week off. Yep. The whole week. I am asking for a week off three days in advance, while one csr is on vacation for a month, and we lost four accounts. I am sure this is going to end well. I am so worried about what he is going to say. I need the time off, because I have the opportunity to do some more practicum work. And hopefully to see how someone properly manages a classroom. I would also get to work with special education students, which is something that would be amazing, since I haven't yet, and that is who I want to teach. I really need to do this, so that I can get more experience, so that principals will want to hire me! I am going to do it. I just hope I can hang onto this job for a little while longer while I sort things out, you know, just in case I don't pass the test.
I'll be slightly jumpy all day-weeks end long, until I get news. ARGH!

Happy Birthday Sharon Ann
Happy Birthday Mommy. Thanks for being you. Sorry Joe and I aren't with you. But I will see you soonish. Hope you have a great day! Love ya.

Waiting
Waiting.
This is what I have been doing for months now.
Waiting for the end of the day.
Waiting for classes to start.
Waiting for classes to end.
Waiting for my test results.
Waiting to get called for interviews.
Waiting to be a TEACHER.
So far, the end of the day at my job currently feels like it never comes, and when it does, it feels like a split second later and I'm right back to waiting for the end of the day. I know I should be happy that I have a job, and am working steadily. But I'd really like a teaching job please. But I'm still waiting for those test results. I get them on friday at 5pm. Which means monday I can start aggresively looking for a job, since I'll be certified. (if I pass) I am so nervous. And I am going to be so upset if I do not pass the test. I got all A's in the jumpstart program, so I would think that means I should pass the test, since we covered that material. But only time will tell. It is time for more waiting...

Presents
I am currently trying to figure out what to get my man for his birthday. He says not to get him anything. Ha. That is so not going to happen. The thing is I really have no idea what to get him. He doesn't really want anything, and the things I know that he wants I completely believe that he won't ever use them. Cause that is how we are. Luckily I do have until November. I just like to get things done early!

Good, bad, good, bad
So Oscar's sister Mayra decided to goto six flags yesterday, did we want to go? Why yes we did!
So we go over to pick them up, and Nena made us breakfast, yum yum. Thanks Nena.
So then we leave, we drive, we drive, we get on the highway we start to hear, bump, bump, bump, and the car starts shaking. WOOHOO FLAT TIRE. So we pull over into the divider cause we couldn't get all the way over, and Oscar gets out of the car and fixes the tire.
So we are finally on our way again. So then we get to six flags and are enjoying ourselves. We then go on their new pirate ride. It was not fun. we rode around on a little boat, and got soaked by the people on the bridge. I was completely and utterly drenched. Completely drenched. So we went back to the car, and changed into our bathing suits. We go and have fun in the waterpark, and cross our fingers that our clothes dry. The sun finally comes out, and we move to go back to the car. My clothes are the only ones that are not dry, So I leave my bathing suit on with my pink coverup.
So then we goto see a show, then leave to get dinner, and plan to come back. As we are leaving burger king, the rain opens up and downpours, so we must head home.
It was a very interesting day to say the least. But we did enjoy ourselves.

97
97. That is they grade that I got in all three of my jumpstart classes. can you say WOOHOO? I know I did.
So now comes the waiting and the applying. I still technically(really do) have to pass the 155. All my friends say I will pass it, but I am still two weeks away from the results. So right now I'm applying but I don't have my certification yet. Soon, I keep thinking, soon. So please think good thoughts for me, and hope, hope, hope I pass.
Then all I have to do is find someone who wants to hire me, but come on, who wouldn't.

Gold Cup Semi Finals
So yesterday, I was able to, thanks to Nena, go see the Gold Cup semi-finals. Now I've never experienced a professional soccer game. I did goto a couple in high school, but it is def. not the same at all. At first I wasn't going to go, because it was a double header, and I'm a baby and like to sleep. But then I decided that I might not ever have this opportunity again to one, see a big soccer game, and two to goto soldier field. So away I went.
The first game was relatively tame. A few people through their cups on the field, but not much action. Oh wait, the wave. Seriously these fans love the wave. They(i refused to do it even once) had to have done the wave 100 times in the 6 hours we were there. I'm sorry, but it gets old. The second game of the night started about 3 hours after we got there. There was a lot of drinking being done. So the fights started. There were three fights in our part of the stadium, who knows how many in the others. Also people were folding the free program and making airplanes and throwing them all around. I just have never witnessed such craziness. The fans are also extrememly LOUD. really really loud.
I had an amazing time, and am glad that I decided to go. The three hours of sleep is something I could have lived without though.
It was really cool because USA and Mexico won. And the Mexico vs. Costa Rico game went into overtime and then into penalty kicks. It was a rush.

I'm a Bad Girl. Let me update on my life.
I have been so bad at updating this. Seriously. I know. My poor Va, She checks everyday to see how I am doing, and it has been almost a month since I last wrote. Bad granddaughter bad.
I have been very busy living my life, and um.. playing farmtown. That is right I play farmtown. It has taken over my life. Other than Farmtown I have been going to school and working. For my school I had to to a ten day practicum in a classroom. Which I just finished. Those kids were out of control, but I fell in love with all of them, and miss them.
Jamie, Oscar, Michelle and I are planning a trip to St. Louis at the end of August, so I'm excited for that.
My mommy is coming to visit at the end of september, so I'm excited for that.
My Class is almost over just one more to go. Then I get my grades and hopefully I pass, so I can get a job! and hopefully people start calling me back. I also need my test score, which I should get around August 11ish. So wish me luck.
Oscar and I are planning a trip to Orlando over Christmas and New Years. And you have no idea how excited I am. Seriously. I ordered the FREE DISNEY MAPS with all your favorites on it, and they arrived the other day. They are seriously the cutest things ever. I cannot wait to share the magic with Oscar, as this is his first time going, and I'm totally making him wear a first time button the whole trip!
My garden is starting to actually have crops. The best part is, the plants we thought were tomatos are actually sugar snap peas! Which means we aren't getting any tomatos cause none of them grew up... We planted seeds and then promptly forgot what we planted where. It has been interesting to say the least. And I haven't even read anything on gardening, which means we are totally winging and have no idea what is going on at all.

It has been awhile.
So it has been forever since I wrote on this. I blame twitter. anywho.
School started and I am definately enjoying it and can't wait to actually start teaching. Tommorrow is the CPS job fair. I am nervous, but excited to make the rounds. Keep your fingers crossed that I get hired!
My working out went down the tubes again. But I'm trying again. This week, tonight actually, is gym night. Starting next week I'll start my 30 day program again, since I'm going out of town for the weekend.
There was a storm, and it knocked out our air conditioning and a section of our gutter. not fun.
I got into a water fight.
My garden is growing, and it is really exciting. My tomato plant has its first bloom. Our mint is huge, but the man, says it doesn't taste right. who knows tho.
I got to have two little girls stay the night with us saturday, I went to bed before they did!
and I think that is about all the exciting things that happened since I last wrote.

School Days.
So I have only had my orientation, but my excitement is off the charts. I have already received my books, and have started reading. I am so looking forward to being at school again, and jump starting my career. I have enjoyed everything I've read so far, and am completely into my school books. (i'm reading them like they are fiction light reading, this is how much i'm into them)
These summer classes are the jumpstart. I hope to get an A(we only need a B) in all classes and excell at being an unpaid teacher's aid for two weeks. July 11th I take my 155 test. I took the 110 and the basic, cause I was originally going to teach general education, but decided special education was for me. ( I passed both of those and so I am not worried about my upcoming test, because this one I will be learning the stuff during classes that are on my test.) Then if all this happens I can start teaching THIS FALL! Well I also have to get a job. So fingers crossed for that one.
I cannot wait until I know longer have to work at this job. I am extrememly thaknful for them hiring me when noone else would, but for me this job has no meaning and I am not "involved" in it. I just come to work, do my work and leave. I feel like there is nothing invested.
Hopefully my financial aid forms come so I can sign them, and feel better about not paying my school bill.
Can't wait until my first class on Tuesday!!!!!

Commiting.
This is my pledge. To once again start working out. My knee was freaking out from the first 6 days of the shred so I have taken the week off. No more. I will not be lazy. From this point on here is my promise:
I promise to to the Shred at the very least every day. I also want to burn at least 800 calories a week on the elliptical. These are my goals.
I am writing them on here so that I stick to my guns.

- I am officially starting school again, on the 15th. yeppers. it is that fast. I hope and pray that I am getting some aid, because I do not know how I will pay for it if not.
- School is at 530 tue. and wed. which means I get to run from work and get on a train, and then run from the train to school. it should be good times.
- I am super duper excited to be planning our Disney trip. And hope that everything works out okay.

30 day shred day 3
OH MY GOD. Is it just me or does thirty seconds seem like an eternity sometimes, especially during the pushups and the jumprope. ARGH! I still can't do pushups. I mean I do the girly ones with my news bent and i still can only go down like an inch. And I cannot do them continously for thirty seconds.
Oh, and you know what really makes me mad. Is natalie. She totally cheats during the lunge bicep curl thing. And if wouldn't bother me so much, if later Jillian goes. See they don't cheat. YES YES NATALIE DOES. I get angry every time now.

30 day shred day 1
Holy cow. I was sweating like a pig. I would have to say this seems to be working by how hard I was breathing and sweating. But we shall see. Who knew that I couldn't keep moving for twenty minutes??? Seriously. I think I did pretty good for not really doing any working out other than the elliptical every once in awhile. I'm staring the shred at 137 and a size 7 pants. We shall see where this goes.
